ULTRA-MODERN COMMERCIAL BUILDING SET FOR CONSTRUCTION IN UGANDA
Nssf set to build an ultra-modern multipurpose commercial building in Uganda.
The construction which was commissioned by the National social security fund (NSSF) uganda is expected to be built in Mbarara town, Uganda.
The project which sit on 0.43 acre piece of land which is owned by the NSSF will cost US $1m when completed plus also having a modern retail and office complex that will comprise of four floors with a total built-up area of approximately 1,500 m² and parking capacity of up to 40 vehicles.
NSSF Managing Director, Richard Byarugaba; “This project will enable the Fund to continue diversifying its investments thereby minimizing any risks within our asset classes that can impair the Fund’s ability to achieve its investment objectives,”
According to him, ”We are aware that Mbarara is the fastest growing town in Uganda today and is the economic hub of the western region with budding businesses so this project will be another symbol of economic growth in this energetic town.”
The construction is expected to help the local communities in terms of employment and other numerous opportunities will be available due to the accessibility of enough office space in the region.
